At age 29, Fotsis is more mature than ever and knows his unique role within the Greek team.

He doesn’t have to shoot the ball all night long anymore.

There’s no need to be the leader.

But he is nevertheless, a special part of the puzzle of this team.

With his great defensive abilities, with his jump and his quickness, Fotsis is the real “Batman” of this team.

He remains a great shot-blocker and rebounder but also a great shooter when needed.

His starting role during previous years with Panathinaikos and his unnoticed work during the games are priceless.

He is the player with the most national team appearances from all currently active players and is the real captain who can guide the youngsters.

Don’t expect huge numbers from him, but his all around work will certainly still pain every opponent.
