Akl is an exciting young player who already has experience of playing in a big tournament for his country after coming off the bench last year at the FIBA Asia Championships.

His value and potential is no better underlined than by the decision of his club team Sporting Al Riyadi to tie him down on a long term deal.

Another product of the youth programme of Lebanon basketball, Akl is a guard who knows what it takes to deliver for his country.

He is gradually improving the defensive aspects of his game while with the ball in his hands, he is a more than capable playmaker.

Having just completed a first season with Al Riyadi, he is becoming more accustomed to the limelight and he looks destined to have a successful career for both club and country.
